I moved to New Zealand from China two years ago. Back home, I studied English in school, but it was different. We spent most of our time speaking Mandarin in class instead of practicing English.

When I arrived, I couldn't understand anything people said to me. It was frustrating. I saw people talking about DynaSpeak on Chinese social media and decided to try it. I have finished Level 3 and Level 4 now. I am currently studying Level 5.

The biggest change is how we learn here. We only speak English in the classroom. We focus on real communication and skills I can actually use in Auckland. A year ago, I was lost. Now, I can communicate easily with everyone I meet.

It hasn't always been easy. I recently failed a listening assessment. I felt a lot of pressure after that, but it didn't stop me. It actually made me work harder to improve.

My teachers are kind and my classmates have become my friends. I already have a part-time job, but I want more. My goal is to keep improving my English so I can go to university and find a great career here.
