My name is Yan Zhang, and I’ve been living in New Zealand for three years since moving from China. My first language is Mandarin, and although I learned some English at school, I knew I needed to keep improving. I chose DynaSpeak because it’s close to home, and I’m now studying NZCEL Level 5 Academic. Since joining, I’ve gained new English skills, made new friends, and learned more about different cultures. My goal is to continue improving my English. One thing I especially appreciate is my teacher, Reema — she is very supportive and a great teacher.
